Bedtime Books: Our Principals' Favorites

Few moments in a child's day are as meaningful as bedtime. Beyond helping children settle in for a good night's sleep, a consistent nighttime routine provides comfort, security, and valuable opportunities to connect as a family. One of the most impactful ways to spend those final moments of the day is by reading together.

Reading aloud to children does much more than build literacy skills. It sparks imagination, strengthens vocabulary, encourages curiosity, and creates lasting memories between children and the adults who care for them. Whether it's a beloved classic read for the hundredth time or a brand-new adventure, sharing a book each night helps foster a lifelong love of reading while creating a calm transition from the excitement of the day to a restful night's sleep.

To help inspire your family's bedtime reading routine, we've invited our school principals to share some of their favorite children's books. Their recommendations include timeless favorites, meaningful stories, and books that have brought joy to their own families and school communities. We hope these selections encourage you to make reading together a cherished part of every evening.
