You’re invited to Save the Date for an art show at the Heritage Commons during Homecoming Friday!
This show celebrates students exploring art as a tool for wellness and features artwork created by 4th- and 5th-grade students from across the Harrisburg School District.
Join us after the parade from 1–4 PM on Friday, September 25 to:

Your artist does NOT have to have artwork in the show to attend! Everyone is welcome to come enjoy, create, and explore the connection between art and wellness.

Miss Mann and Mrs. Kockx nominated two outstanding learners for a #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay to end our first week back!

These learners have been incredible role models by consistently following expectations, making responsible and respectful choices, and leading by example—even when others around them may be making different choices. They show perseverance, ask for help when needed, and aren’t afraid to positively model the way for their peers. These teachers both shared how lucky they feel to get to be around these boys each school day!

We are so proud of the leadership, responsibility, and respect these learners are showing at Liberty! 🐾#GoodNewsCallOfTheDay

Mrs. Berger couldn’t stop bragging about this learner’s compassion! On the first day, he comforted a fellow Liberty student who was nervous at dismissal—and offered to help them “every single day” moving forward. This is what good character is made of! #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay

Mrs. Kindt nominated this young man for a #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay for doing an exceptional job of modeling our PAWS expectations on Day 1 AND helping clean up a hallway mess without being asked! So proud of his kindness and character!

This learner went above and beyond with his kindness today. When other kindergarten learners at lunch were feeling uneasy and didn't know what to do, he stepped up and was a leader. What a great kiddo to add to our already awesome school community at Liberty Elementary! #GoodNewsCallofTheDay

MINDFUL ME ART ADVENTURE
Discover the joy of art and self-expression! Kids will create projects with a variety of drawing and collage materials about their lives, dreams, and families while practicing calming, mindful art techniques that help them feel focused and relaxed. This camp is a wonderful way to transition from summer to the school year, giving students tools to start the year feeling centered and confident.

BIG BOLD FLOWER PAINTING
In this colorful art lesson, upper elementary students will create cheerful flower paintings using bold colors, expressive brushstrokes, and textured details. They will explore blending, layering, and playful techniques to make vibrant flowers that showcase creativity and personal style.
