This JK learner persisted through a difficult IXL assignment today and never gave up! She found resources in the classroom that she could use to help her figure out her teen numbers and earned her IXL badge independently! #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay @pringarrett
This Kinder Kid showed empathy and kindness on the playground and sought out a teacher to help when her friend had an injury. She received the #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay for practicing safety and knowing that big problems need big people. @pringarrett
HSD Families & Staff:
Due to staffing issues, a shortage of substitutes, and approaching adverse winter weather, there will be no school or activities in the Harrisburg School District tomorrow, Friday, January 14th. At this time, Saturday activities will go on as planned.
The District has been experiencing a shortage of substitutes. We would encourage anyone interested in subbing to contact the District Office.
These JK friends have been picking up the cones for us on the playground at the end of each day! The teachers really appreciate the positive attitude, teamwork, & friendly competition these two bring to their “job” each afternoon! We made two #GoodNewsCalloftheDay! @pringarrett
Horizon's Junior Kindergarten class was very excited to watch the maintenance team install a new flag this morning!

This 4th grade learner took a responsible risk when she agreed to read her written response regarding diversity & inclusion to staff. She told her teacher, “I’m nervous” before she entered the staff meeting. She rocked it & received the #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay @pringarrett
This 2nd grader is helpful and polite daily. Today she helped Mrs. Garrett find mailboxes and received the #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay! @pringarrett
This learner put internet safety as a priority and reported to Mr. Franken when something unsafe appeared. He was responsible and received the #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay. We shared the call with Dad! @pringarrett
