4th graders at Journey were able to check out pelts and skulls from beaver and other aquatic mammals, a chiseled tree piece and bark strips. They even dressed a learner up like a beaver to show their many adaptations-paddle board for the tail, goggles for the eye membranes!

Our 4th graders have been studying Native American History and the connection to SD. This week was all about the Plains and Sioux tribes of SD and how they used all parts of a bison. They gained understanding; and are honing their skills at deriving information from objects.
